MIKE KEGLER
Senior Data Architecture and Visualization Consultant
Mike Kegler is Mission & Data’s Senior Data Architecture and Visualization Consultant, responsible for the visual representation of data and analysis for client schools and organizations.
Mike comes to Mission & Data from the Latin School of Chicago, where he was responsible for building dashboards for a variety of audiences, creating self-service tools for students, families, faculty, and staff, and managing academic and bio demo data. He also taught data visualization and analysis to a dedicated group of students. Prior to that, he worked in several roles at The University of Chicago, most notably as the self-service lead for the school’s implementation of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions. Through these experiences, Mike learned the value of pairing robust data with an engaging and dynamic user experience.
As a former registrar and international student adviser, Mike brings a strong customer service focus to his role. And as a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Mike understands the importance of developing a deep understanding of a client’s needs before launching a project. Mike obtained his master’s in Higher Ed Administration from Northwestern University. He’s a certified user of Tableau, Blackbaud K-12 On, Google Workspace, and other software, and he’s always on the lookout for a new system or technique that can streamline and improve school processes.
Mike lives with his family and dogs in Evanston, IL. In his free time, he likes going on long bike rides, playing drums, and planting trees.
